Cool New Introduction - NEW C&C CAGE [Pics and Pic Links]

Hi folks...

Currently we are the proud slaves to two Guinea Pigs
Spike And Oiper.

Spike is about 2 years old and is essentially my master.

And then we have Oiper who is about 6 months old and was a present for spike after lurking on these forums and hearing how important it was for piggies to have a friend.

We just finished building them a C&C cage which we learned about on these forums.

We are still figuring out best practices for some things like cleaning and how to keep it clean. OMG THERE SUCH PIGS WE CLEAN IT AND THEY MESS IT UP!!!.
As well as how to keep them happy in hay and veggies and how to get them up to the second level as they don't use the second level at all.

So I'm here to learn about fleece and cleaning.

I have a TON of pictures of the little guys and the cage on my flicker account.
Flickr: Photos & Video from Seth Jay Goldberg

Feel free to check out the pictures and don't be afraid to comment or give us some ideas.

We also except photo suggestions!

Glad this place is here we've learned so much already!

They're both awfully cute. I checked out your flickr photos and giggled with glee at the bath ones. How do Spike and Oiper get along so far?

Re: New Introduction - NEW C&C CAGE [Pics and Pic Links]

The cage before that was just a simple "Super Pets Cage" it was big enough for 1 piggy but not 2.... There are various pictures of that cage in the photo's as well.

Spike LOVES to take bath's... He loves to soak in the sink. He's actually pretty good about most forms of grooming and as long as I cover his eyes, he has no problem with nail clippings either.

Oiper is the opposite. For one with black nails its hard to clip them, and he squirms all over the place. Hates Baths... Runs away at the slightest noise, and will only let us pet him without catching him first if spike is getting pet's then he gets jellious.

I guess that explains how they get along.
Spike did in fact get dominance quickly but I think its been flip flopping.
While they do play a good deal, a lot of noises in the air. I did have to break up one scuffle. Oiper is very playful with spike.. Spike most of the time just wants to be left alone. The best is when spike is eating something and oiper runs over and steals it.

Oiper just started to use the second level of the cage!!!!! WOOHOO!
Spike will only go up there if I put him on the ramp...
