Heya-I'm New Here!

[FONT=Georgia]Hey Everyone!
I am currently in the process of adopting two piggies from a rescue. My first guinea pig, Abner died on March 5 due to stones in his urinary tract. We did try to save him, 497.60 later and he still didn't make it

The vet thinks his kidneys failed, too much stress. I miss him dearly but I should be getting my new piggies soon![/FONT]

Welcome to the forum! That is great that you chose to adopt. Aww. I feel so bad about what happened with your previous piggie. You tried hard to save it though!

It's really exciting, isn't it? If I were you I wouldn't be able to sleep, I'd be to busy making sure everything will be just right for my new baby. I would also be thinking about how cute it will be.

I can't sleep, trust me! I got the cubes today to make the sides of the new cage, I can't get the choroplast until next week. The sign place is only open during the week

I can't wait to see how cute they are in real life! I've seen pics though and they are pretty cute! Have any name suggestions? They are both boys, both are black and one is crested.

The first night I brought my boys home I was up and down all night, every sound they made I was up to investigate, hehe!

I got my boys!!! They are 100 x cuter than I expected. Their names are Emmit and Elmo. They came with the names and they fit them perfectly so I decided to keep them

They are a little skittish right now but they are starting to calm down.

Here are the pics from petfinder. They are a little camera shy right now and I don't want to freak them out but I'm working on getting some more pics! This is when they were really tiny I believe. They are now 6 weeks old. Emmit is really curios but doesn't really like to be handles. Elmo is a scardey cat but once your holding him, he's a big mush!

Sammy and Peanut- They are in a short tub with like an old cage around it. It's the cage their foster mommy gave to me. They have a C&C cage in the making, I have all the grids but I can only get the choroplast during the week and I have school so I'm not sure when I can get it. The cage is 2x3 with a 1x1 off of it and then its going to have a 1x3 loft. I might make the loft bigger, can't decide. As of right now they get lots of floor time and then have a 2x3 play pen thing that the like to run around in
