Talking Hi, we're new!

I'm Dani, from Ohio, and the proud mommy of five adorable piggies - Callum, a fluff ball of white fur and cuteness; Ben, my red and white brat, who is also a bit of a fluff ball; Noel, Ben's best friend(also red and white, but smooth) and partner in crime; and Sky and Xander, who are known as the "twins" since they almost look exactly alike(black and brown and brown and brown), and they practically have the same personality, except Xander can be a bit of a drama king when it comes to demanding his veggies.

Callum just passed his quarantine and we had a group floor time so they could all meet and wheek. He'll be moving in with his brothers soon, after we extend their cage a bit more in the next week(we're working on two bunny cages for my mom, too, so it's a bit hectic around here with cages and such). I'm trying to attach a picture of them all, but I'm not quite sure how to do it, so sorry if it doesn't show up!

Re: Hi, we're new!

Hello and wecome! I admire those that have more than two piggies. I have two human kids and a friend with five told me that after three, you don't notice the difference. Is it the same with the piggers? Your boys are adorable, by the way.

Re: Hi, we're new!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes!

My husband has owned piggers before, but this is my first time. We got Ben in December from an ad on the "freebie board" at a pet store, then a week later someone had advertised in the newspaper for Noel, so off we went to pick up a buddy for Ben, which he was so happy about. I then rescued Flower, who was only with us for a month before he passed away(he was very sick and his little body couldn't handle it all, even though our vet tried everything he could). We really didn't think we would ever get another pig after Flower, but a woman on craigslist was desperately trying to find homes for her guinea pigs and I had emailed her about them, only to find out she had given them to a rescue in her area. I contacted the rescue and we adopted Sky and Xander through them. A week later we met a woman at a pet store who was trying to rehome Callum and his siblings... it took us all but twenty minutes to decide that we were going to bring him home.

Ben and Noel are both seven months old, and Callum, Xander, and Sky are all three months old. Ben, Noel, Xander, and Sky live in a 15sqft cage, which we're going to be adding onto before moving Callum in. We've actually given them the master bedroom, so soon they'll have a cage that spans half the room, with the other half set up for floor time fun.

I really don't think there's much difference between owning two and five, to be honest, heh. Actually, I think it's so much more fun with the five of them, since they all have such different personalities and it's so funny to watch them all run around on the floor together. When it was just Ben and Noel, they were more interested in being lap piggies than playing, but with the brat babies they're just as hyper as the youngins. The only thing I can think of is that we go through hay like crazy, .

ETA: The third picture features my two kitties, Evie and Punky(Punky is the sneaky looking one behind the pigloo), and a bowl of hamster food, minus the hamster(he was in his tote cage that you can sort of see on the side there).
