Ms. Vivi - Zoo member #7 Yesterday morning there were 6 animals living in my house. Two cats (Lancelot and Guenevere), 3 cavies (Percival, Morgana, and Elsa), and 1 hamster (Merlin). Well, by afternoon, number 7 moved in. Viviane (I call her Vivi) is our third cat. She is a 5 month old Russian Blue mix with absolutely beautiful fur and honey chocolate colored eyes. She had an infection in one of them a while back, so it is quite cloudy, but she still sees perfectly fine. I went to an adoption center at an animal clinic, and when I walked by her cage, she reached out and grabbed my skirt, so I guess she picked me! ![]() A little background. Vivi has been living in foster care up until a couple of weeks ago when the vet put her up for adoption. A client of that office found her, 3 siblings, and their mom in a box at an outdoor concert site when they were about a week old. When she saw the box a second time at the end of the concert, she opened it, saw the mama cat and kittens and took them to her vet. Two of the kittens died, mom was adopted soon after being spayed, and now Vivi (originally Jewel) and her last sister, Ruby have now been adopted.

Re: Ms. Vivi - Zoo member #7 CONGRATULATIONS! She seems very active, and curious from what you told me in the chat room. She will most certainly keep on your toes! I love that photo, she is so cute. I really love her hair colour, stunning.

Re: Ms. Vivi - Zoo member #7 She is definitely a wild woman. Trying to sleep last night was interesting. She was pouncing any body parts that weren't covered by my blanket, so my hands got the brunt of it. Eventually she fell asleep half on my head.

Re: Ms. Vivi - Zoo member #7 By special request, more pictures of Vivi. She was spayed 2 days ago, but you would never know it the way she's running around. Her incision site is perfectly clean, no swelling or redness, she's not messing with it, eats and drinks fine, using her litter box, so I'm leaving her be. Hmm, what is this flashy thing? ![]() Oh! Hello there! ![]() So that's how a miter box works! ![]() Sleepy kitty trying not to give in. ![]()

Re: Ms. Vivi - Zoo member #7 What a sweetie. She reminds me on my Dr. Milly kitty with her wonky eye.

Re: Ms. Vivi - Zoo member #7 I have drops for her eye that I give her twice a week, but I really don't think it's going to get any better. She had a horrendous URI when she was just a couple weeks old, and her eye was completely sealed shut. The vet rescue got her well and her eye is scarred, but she can see out of it now. I'm fully of the "if it doesn't bother her, it doesn't bother me" school of thought. They said we could take her to a veterinary opthamologist if we wanted, but I don't think so. I'll spend my life savings on my animals if it's warranted, but I don't think this is necessary.

Re: Ms. Vivi - Zoo member #7 She is beautiful. I love Russian blue's. I once had a blue dog, the colour is so pretty. She suits her name, it sounds so royal, and she seems to carry herself as such ![]()
