Newbie, still waiting on piggies!!

Hello everyone! I am, obviously, new here. I mostly wanted to say how much I have learned being here!! I am getting things ready for the arrival and you have helped me so much already!! Just a thank you for that!! For example, I had a cage picked out (at a price just under $200 I might add) from a pet store. I decided to Google cages and this was one of the first sites I came across. Well, I found out that the cage I picked out, that the girl told me would be "over doing it" was way too small!! I have bought most of the materials to make my own C&C cage!! I am so excited!!!

Well, I just wanted to tell everyone how I thought what a great place this is so far and I am very happy to be here!! As soon as I get my piggies, I will update this thread with pics!!!

I myself am really new to the forums and it is great to see you did some research before buying your guinea pigs or you could have found yourself in a real mess.
Unfortunately my parents don't want to get any (plus we have a pretty active dog and a cat).
