Hi, first time guinea owners here

Hello, my name is Susan. Yesturday we brought home our first guinea
pig. We adopted her from a rescue. We were able to find out that she was
physically abused in her previous home. I can't imagine anyone abusing
her. She a 15 month old female and a tri colored peruvian I believe. We named her Samantha, I think she is just the prettiest creature I've seen. We fell instantly in love with her when we saw her at the rescue. We are so happy to have her here, and even though I've done tons of
reading and research I know I have much to learn. I look foward to
being here and learning how I can spoil our little girl.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I'm so happy you rescued her and now she's getting a great home where she will be spoiled rotten. I can't even express how mad it gets me when I hear about animal abuse/neglect I wish that those people could see how the animals felt and get whatever they did to the animal done to them. But I can tell your going to be a great piggie momma and she will forget all about her past. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask oh and you might know this already but cavies are happier in pairs or groups. I know you will love it here it's great I've learned so much. I don't have any piggies yet but I found out I'm getting them in a week or so. I already have some in mind at a rescue. I've got so much to prepare for though I have to get my dad to help me make a cage get food and toys. Well enjoy the forum I know you will!
