im gary i breed and show satins and rexs been doing it for 5 months now as partner has been doing it for years and now i have th bug i have about 50 guinea pigs so far

Gary you do know this is a site against breeding and showing...you shouldn't breed your adding more to the already overpopulated species and your taking away homes for many homeless guinea pigs in shelters.

As has already been stated, this is a rescue oriented site. Breeding/showing how-to discussions are not allowed and the subject in general is a hot topic with most of the members here.

I don't understand why you would willingly and possibly knowlingly join a forum that is strongly against and based around ending exactly what you do. You must have known that what you do isn't allowed to be instructed on this forum. And many of the members would feel that you are not welcome here.

Everyone is welcome here; Breeders, showing folk, rescuers, pet owners, everyone. We simply require that they abide by the rules of this site.

If the people who breed and show never came to sites like this then how would they ever make the decision to change their ways? If what we have to share helps any animals at all live a better life, even in a small way, then what we are doing is a victory.

That is true. I suppose what I was trying to say was that many people would feel that someone that breeds and shows wouldn't belong on a non-breeding and non-showing website.
