Hello fellow guinea owners! My name is Lyndsey and I'm the proud owner of a a two year old black and white guinea pig named Oreo (picture in my avatar and also in my profile). I've wanted a guinea pig for awhile and had done some research on them, but just the other day I found someone giving away their guinea pig, and I promptly jumped on the offer. He was formerly a classroom pet, so he's very friendly and sweet. He's now being thoroughly enjoyed by my family. I'm am hunting for a bigger cage for him, though, as the one that he came with isn't very big. But, to tell you the truth, he's not in his cage much, we really enjoy having him out for floor time since he's so friendly and laid back. Now, I'm going to go read over the many helpful threads here! |

Welcome to you and Oreo! You're lucky to have a cavy who is friendly with people! My girls have always been really skittish and don't like to be out too much. |
