Re: Newbee !! Welcome Starryblen, I have nine piggies. Yipes! One is named Peanut. I am at absolute maximum capacity here, eight girls and one neutered boar who is not bored! Be careful, I started out with two boys, six years ago. Definitely habit-forming.

Re: Newbee !! Thank"s everyone for the warm welcomes. First let me say WOW !! nine piggies, I don't know if I could handle that many, two is hard enough. My two are little girls. I do have a question, I started using fleece today to see how it works, My little girls just love it, they started bouncing all over the cage when I put them back in. I have never seen Mocha Bear do that before . Anyway my question is, how do you spot clean when they pee and if they start chewing on the fleece should I take it up and use something else or will it not hurt them? Thanks for the replies! I am waiting on my new C&C cage, so as soon as I get it up I will up load some pics. Toni P.S. Does anyone go in the chat room?

Re: Newbee !! Welcome! For spot cleaning the fleece, what I do is, once or twice a day, vacuum up any poos. If you have enough layers of newspaper, towels, puppy pads/whatever you use, there shouldn't be a need to clean up the pee. It should soak right through the fleece to the other layers, so your pigs' feet stay dry! That is if you do everything right- ie: don't use any softener, and wash 2-4 times before using. This will make it have the maximum "wickiness." I wash all my fleece once a week. This thread should cover any other questions about your fleece: http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...fleece+project I have two sows as well! Snickers, and Skye. Snickers is the pig in my avatar.
