First time on

Hi, growing up we always had pigs but for some years my parents did not get another one because they always got too attached to the little guys and their rather short lives. Three years ago my sister and I decided to buy my parents a little black and white pig from the petstore as a present. We originally thought she was a he and named him stanley. She was very young and began gaining lots of weight the thought that he was actually a she and was pregnant never crossed my parents mind. Well one morning we learned that stan was actually a female and was now having babies. In total she had three little piggies. She was a young mom only about 2 months older then her kids. Interestingly for years my dad and I always wanted a chestnut colored self but could never find one, my mom had always wanted a rough haired pig as she calls them. Well on this morning stan gave them everything we always wanted. Here is my parents little colony a nice little bunch. Some pics
Here are the four when very young, with mom,
The next picture is of one of the males named brutus(we were trimming his claws during that pic
The next picture is of scruffy his brother, the next is a picture of the mom stan, and the last is of their sister scrappy(who is currently at the vet battling a little bacterial ailment hopefully she makes it).

Re: First time on

Cute bunch you've got there.

Do you have the males and females separated? If not, you're going to have a bunch more pigs in less time than you think.

Re: First time on

Welcome! You have very cute piggies! It's a shame you had to learn how horrible petstores are the hard way.
