Re: hi everyone Cute babies! Is the father still in with them? The father needs to be taken out of the cage after the birth or the mom can become pregnant within hours.

Re: hi everyone nope i removed him as soon as i noticed the babies he is in thier old cage but i feel so bad for him. i mean they both look the same underneath so it might just be that they gave her to me like that i did notice when i bought her that she was in there with all the males.

Re: hi everyone Hi and welcome. Also the male babies should be seperated from all females including mom at 3 weeks old. They are very cute!

Re: hi everyone If any of the babies are boys, you could always house him with them. The boys need to be removed at 21 days. Or if they're all girls, you can have dad neutered. Post pictures and we can help determine the sex once they get a little older. It's harder to tell when they're first born.

Re: hi everyone Maybe I should take pictures of the father so you guys can tell me if he is boy or girl... its just hard to believe, because he was snuggling with the babies too They were just all so gentle with eachother. Let me take pictures.

Re: hi everyone Did you buy them both at the same time? If so, there's a good chance the other one will be pregnant too since you said they were housed with males.

Re: hi everyone I bought them at different times. My first Guinea was the brown and white one. She had been attacked by a rabbit and was removed from that play area. Thats the reason we adopted her. And she was still pretty young. Then i bought the mom a month after that when i noticed that this guinea wasn't playing or anything. The pet shop told me they were boys and each was bought at a different pet store.
