My Christmas gift to myself

Look what I got myself for Christmas this year!

I had guinea pigs on the brain when I was trying to get one of the 75 seized pigs in southern CA, but they all ended up going to a rescue quite a bit further from me. But not getting a baby there ended up being a blessing in disguise. This little gem was brought to the shelter with her "husband" and son and daughter. She was living with her daughter until her daughter was adopted out, and it pretty much sealed the deal to see her all alone. She could possibly be pregnant again but I don't think so.
I'm in love!! She is the sweetest pig. The last two pigs I adopted were hell on wheels and it took alot of work and several months to get them calmed down. But this one sits still in my lap and stands in the cage for head pats. She has a great appetite, is familiar with veggies and seems to have been well cared for.
The only adjustment is that I never had an abby before. I'm so used to petting a pig from front to back without any speedbumps!

Oh gosh she is so adorable. She even has the little "neck fat" that dangles under her chin. I love chubby piggies!!!! What did you decide to name her?

What an absolutely precious little piggy! She looks like one of those caramel/chocolate swirl Lifesavers Creamsavers.

Aww, she is so cute! Yes those speed bumps can be tricky with abbies, but you get used to it.

Haha, Weaver, my boyfriend's always making fun of Georgia for how much her double chin dangles.

She is completely beautiful! I also gave myself 2 piggies for Christmas from the rescue agency in GA. They are the best!

Thanks for the compliments everyone. We haven't named her yet. I like to wait a while to name animals because sometimes you see something in their personality that suits them well for a name ( like my Swiper). So far my husband has been calling her "Spare Parts" because her fur is all over the place and her coloring has no patterns to it, so he thinks at the guinea pig factory they just took all their leftover parts and made her!

Very cute piggie! To me she looks kinda like a Sundae, particularly caramel & chocolate. Now I'm hungry for ice cream LOL

She is really beautiful! In my experience, Abys have a wonderful nature. My friendliest pig is an abyssinian. You sound really proud of her!!

Thanks guys! I am SOOO proud of her. She is a dream. Sits still for as long as I want her too, no biting, no rumblestrutting. And I'm pretty sure she is NOT preggers (yay) since she's only gained an ounce in two weeks and that could be due to the abundance of veggies I toss at her.

I have an abby too. He's quite friendly and also has a saggy chin
