| Meet Abby and Maggie I am a new piggie mommy. We recenlty got our first piggies Abby and Maggie, four month old Americans, from a local guinea pig shelter. Abby is half white and half cream colored with pink eyes and a cute little creast. Maggie is mostly black with a white streak around her shoulders and a white paw. They are so great and we love them to death. Before bringing them home, my husband built them a 2x4 C&C cage. It is only one story now, but there is a second floor coming soon. We used the great information on this site to make our cage. I love this site, and the valuable information found here. It has taken a little bit of time, but they are quickly getting used to us. They week loudly when we come home, and bring them veggies. They will eat treats out of our hands. Abby likes to be petted now. Maggie sort of doesn't mind be petted. They still don't like being picked up much, but they settle down after awhile. I attached a couple photos of them. They really like to sniff the camera. Thanks for the great site. |
