Newbie Here!!!

Hello I'm new here from Canada. I just love piggies and had to join once I seen the forum. So far its been great!

I live in Canada, I have a hamster named Bandit who is very spoiled! Hopefully I can open my heart to some piggies.

My sister, Snow_piggy, and I are planning on adopting some Piggies. We have found four young piggy girls at a local animal shelter. We are hoping to get all four but will probably only end up with two because are parents don't want many more pets.

I hope to see you all around the boards.

P.S. is 18 sq ft (C&C cage) alright for atleast 2 piggies?

Lots of Canadians eh?

Well I was looking at the pictures and I noticed that some people don't have coroplast while using fleece. Do you need to use coroplast while using fleece?

Re: Newbie Here!!!

18 sq ft is plenty of room for 2 piggies. A minimum of about 10sq ft is recommended. With fleece, you don't necessarily have to have deep walls, but I definitely something solid under the fleece, and I would suggest at least 2-3" walls to contain the poops between spot cleaning.

Re: Newbie Here!!!

Where in Ontario are you?
I was browsing Kijiji ads today and found this one: Long Haired Guina Pigs - London, Ontario Pets For Sale - Kijiji London, Ontario

They're in London and apparently they come with an OUTDOOR hutch, how awful is that?! Ugh.
