Introducing Macadamia Nut!

Miss Maci arrived today! She is settling in well. She is a spayed sow - my first sow, and my first long haired piggie. I guess her hair doesn't look that long in the pigturess, but it looks like it will keep growing! She came through GP's r Us rescue.

Municipal elections are coming up here soon, so there are political signs everywhere. I was lucky enough to find one lying on the ground on my walk home from work, so I grabbed it. (Thanks Mayor DiIanni!) Tomorrow I will scrub it clean and build her a proper cage. For tonight she is in a pet store cage.

We had a good little snuggle, and I even got some finger licks (and nibbles). When I fed her dinner she devoured her salad... except for the green peppers. She's been enjoying her paper bag too. Tomorrow I'll weigh her, and probably start dosing all the piggers with ivermectin just to be safe. She is so small!

She looks very happy Sari. She is about 9 months old. They suspected her at about 6months when I picked her up, but were not tottaly sure. So 9 months now is a round about. She is a real sweety, I hope she is very happy. She was treated for mites when I got her, but it's better to be safe than sorry. Glad you guys had a great snuggle, she will be very happy with you.

I think she is soooo adorable! I want to get a spayed sow too for Sid, but sadly my roommate won't let me get any more pigs. Congrats in the new addition fairy!

Thanks for all the kind words everyone, Maci is blushing! And also thanks to pigglywiggly for dropping her off here.

The night went well - she finished her pellets overnight. Mmmmm..... Kleenmama's... I can't wait to brush her! I even bid on the piggy barrettes on the GL auction for her.

She was spayed due to an illness, so I wonder if that kept her small.

I'm eventually going to put her cage next to the boys cage, so she can interact with them through the grids. I'll see who seems to like each other best. I have a feeling it will be Costanza, but who knows?

What super pigtures too Sari - I am so excited for you all! She is the same age (ish) as Marble, Mellow and Emm - but she does look smaller. Keep us posted with her progress! (and more pigtures!)
