Greetings from Sera Hello Everyone. I discovered this site at the start of the year and created my very first C&C cage as soon as possible. I fell in love with them. I believe that they are wonderful and very creative. During my recent visit I discovered the wonders of fleece and the fact that there is a forum here. I live in Country Victoria, Australia and I have one lovely boy, Mocha. He is just over 2 years old. I am currently in search of the perfect male partner for him. If anyone knows of any places to adopt here, I am very interested. Mocha is my first and I am learning alot each day. I wish I had known more about Guinea Pigs before I got him, or I would have gotten two from the start. He has a 2x4 C&C cage which just recently had its hayloft removed, since he never used it. Over the next month or two, I will be extending the cage to 2x5, closing it to protect from the cats and moving it into the lounge so he is part of the family all the time, instead of just for floor time. I am also planning to switch to fleece because I think I would much prefer to live on fleece than woodchips. I will try and get some pictures up later today. I look forward to getting to know everyone here. ~ Sera

Re: Greetings from Sera Hello fellow Victorian! I too live in the country, Shepparton to be exact (otherwise known as the middle of nowhere) As far as adoptions go, you can try this website Search for an Animal but they rarely put guinea pigs on it, especially in Vic. Check your local city pound, you might get lucky and find one. Also try calling your local vets, sometimes they have free to a good home notice boards, try your local paper in the Pets section. And welcome to the forum!

Re: Greetings from Sera Hey, welcome! Good luck finding one for adoption. I live in Puerto Rico and there's only dog and cat shelters in here, so it's been nearly impossible finding a Guinea Piggy. However, I'm willing to wait and I know 2 perfect ones will pop up somewhere for me to take care of for the rest of their soon-to-be-wonderful lives. I'm sure out there there's a handsome little guy waiting for you and your own little guy to find him.
