New to cavies

Hi! My family is hoping to adopt one or more cavies in the near future. We currently have two house rabbits and want to make our home as welcome for the piggies as we have for our bunnies. I had heard of this site through Etherbun. I am looking forward to learning all I can. Thanks!

Re: New to cavies

Welcome to the forum. Just a hint but we highly recommed adopting at least two since piggies are herd animals and do better with a friend. Also, just a heads up, we don't recommend housing bunnies with piggies just because they each could hurt the other and for some other health reasons. If you have any questions, just ask. Good luck on your adoptions.

Re: New to cavies

Thanks for the welcome. We will definitely look into adopting a pair rather than a single pig. Also, the pigs and buns will be in separate parts of the house. I'm off to read more on cavies....
