Meet my sweetie~pie Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and a few other guinea pig forums. I have one female guinea pig, her name is Mocha such a sweetheart. She loves to cuddle and is very energetic! I'm not very well educated on how to care for guinea pigs concidering this is my first adoptee. I adopted her from a local shelter for abused or unwanted small animals. I would be very thankful to have some help and correct advice on how to raise her to give her a healthy happy life. If you have any questions on her please ask me. I'm up for anything guinea pig related. Here's a picture of my baby! ![]()

Re: Meet my sweetie~pie What a sweet baby. I just joined this forum a couple of days ago and what I have learned here in a couple of days is so much more than I have learned in years of owning piggies. This forum is an excellent resource for all things piggy. Welcome to you and yours.

Re: Meet my sweetie~pie Mocha is gorgeous, and it's great for you to have adopted her from a shelter. There are so many neglected animals in shelters. Hope you'll like it here. Everyone is really nice and very informative. Look forward to reading more of your posts and seeing more pictures of Mocha as she grows up.

Re: Meet my sweetie~pie Heyy everyone... sorry I haven't posted in a while, my summer's been really busy! But I have some great new, I adopted another guinea pig a while back. She's a female I named her Cinnamon. I'll make sure to get some picture's of her and post later! Mocha is still doing really great she's a big cuddle-bug. I had her in the kitchen with me earlier today fixing up a plate of veggies for her and her new sister... she wouldn't leave my side or should I say feet. She stayed right next to me the whole time. She loves to snuggle under my neck or in a blanket she's come a long way ![]()

Re: Meet my sweetie~pie Yes I have invested in a C&C cage, and I love it, it's a 2x4 cage just one level, but I hate having them in the cage, ecspecially since they love to cuddle I set up a pig pen or let them run around on my bed or I'll close off the upstairs hallway and let them run and play there they love to run back and forth popcorning... it's so adorable. I was lucky enough to find a sign store nearby to get my coroplast... and apparently ton's of people get their cages done like that because the minute I gave her the measurement she asked me if it was for guinea pigs! Well tomorrow I'll take some pictures of them both together and post

Re: Meet my sweetie~pie Finally here's a pig~ture of my sweet little Cinnamon ![]() She's a silly little piggie... . She does this thing when she goes to drink from the water bottle...She turns her head almost upside down just to sip from the bottle Not sure where she inherited this, but it is quite funny, she'll fall over sometimes... I'm worried though she'll wind up hurting herself one of those times, putting so much effort into getting some water . Mocha has no problem at all sipping from the bottle though.

Re: Meet my sweetie~pie Heyy again... I didn't want to make a whole different thread just to ask a question... so I'm going to keep everything in this one thread I have a question about fleece... I've been using carefresh bedding since I adopted my first guinea pig, but I have seen alot of people using fleece in their cages, and I was wondering is it better and cleaner than carefresh and other related beddings? Does it cut down on odor? Give me your opinons on what you think about it, I've been thinking about buying for the cage, but wanted to know if it was better to use than what I am using...

Re: Meet my sweetie~pie Fleece works for some people but not for others. Search in the bedding forum for fleece threads, you may have to go back many many pages.
