Hi! my name is Rachel. I have 2 Guinea Pigs.
[FONT=Comic Sans MS]Hi! my name is Rachel and I have 2 Guinea Pigs named Star and Lottie. Star is the mother of Lottie. Star is Orange and Lottie is white with a bit of tan tha makes her look like she is wearing eye shadow since some of it is above her eyes

I am from United States

I got Star and Lottie from a breeder a few minutes away from me. I don't know if that is necessarely known as "rescuing", though.

They are not very tame. I can hold Star for a few minutes, but Lottie is so squirmy. It's hard to even get them! But I know alot may have the same problem too. It must be normal. I hope it is LOL. I love Cavy Cages so much and am glad I found the forum!

No, that is absolutely not known as rescuing. That's known as buying animals from a breeder and supporting shelter/rescue overpopulation and euthanization.

Please take some time to read over the posts regarding breeding and click on the Newbie link at the top of the Introduction part of the forum.

Well that does make all the difference in the world! My apologies Rachel. Breeder is definitely a bad word around here. If you got the pigs from Texas Rustlers then yes, that is definitely a rescue. Please post some pigtures soon!

Mother and daughter. That is great that you let them stay together. Have you started designing a C&C cage. Watch out because when you do it will consume your thoughts forever! LOL Can't wait to see pigtures of the girls.

and breeder being the word that kind of sends us all in a tizzy.

Oh no! whoops!! I apologize to Texas Rustlers and everyone else! I'm so sorry, I had no clue that I put breeder in there!

I don't have any pictures at the moment but I will take some later for everyone to see! =o)

Texas Rustlers, sorry I forgot that you were a rescue, not a breeder. I apologize. Star and Lottie are doing great!

I will call you GPRachel as we have another Rachel that is new here also and she spells her name the same way!
So GPRachel, so glad all is straightened out. Get it in action lady as we will start stomping our feet and chanting if we don't get pigtures. Pigtures are how you keep the masses happy!

Thank you everyone for replying!

I forgot to take some pigtures! We had some reletives come over for a pool party and I had to do some chores around here and didn't have enough time.
It's like its illegal if I say I didn't take any pigtures LOL
