Hi! I'm a pigless pig lover

So, this is a goofy intro, I suppose.

I've been lurking for quite awhile and decided to finally join because I think I am going to adopt a pig from the animal shelter where I work. So, yeah, I'm a shelter worker and I love my job. I'm glad to see this is a rescue friendly board because animal mills of all kinds are the root of all evil.

She (I think it's a she...) is so cute and friendly. I'm just working on my hetero-life partner (we've been together so long "boyfriend" seems woefully inaccurate!) to accept the fact that Ms. Pig and I belong together.

I also have two dogs (I'm a dog nerd) and two rats and get suckered into fostering kittens frequently. I'm 23 and have a degree in English so that means I talk good and rite guud two.

So I'll probably keep lurking but yeah, hope to be a pig owner soon!

Welcome! Huh. I'm 23, a english major (half way done-my job is currently consuming me even though I love it) and a total dog nut. I have 2 female cavy's and highly suggest adopting the one your in love with and a buddy for it. Hmmmm...you're like my lost twin.

Welcome to the forum. I lurked around here for almost two months before I finally adopted my boys. Good luck convincing your partner, I'm sure you'll win (we women always do). All I can say on top of all that has been said is welcome! You'll find endless information here. I'm sure most of us learn something new every day just from reading and posting here, and some of us have been here for over a year.

Oh yes, I like to refer to my "hubby" as my other half. My babies' daddy, boyfriend, and a few other phrases that are just not appropriate here, seem to be blah or inappropriate. I've been with "hubby" for almost 13yrs. Go figure.

Anyways, welcome to the forum. I'm kind of like you but I'm wanting to adopt a dog. I can't right at this moment but would like to in the next 6 months. So I'm on a few doggie forums and lurking. (thought I'd use this too). I consider myself the residential smarta@# but hey, there's always room for another.
