Hello fellow cavy lovers, new to the forum so figured I would introduce myself and my piggies! I grew up with guinea pigs, and since I just got the resources to have a pet of my own I went right back to them! When I was younger I had one at a time, and got them from pet stores. About two months ago I looked up a local guinea pig rescuer and picked up two little guys there, a one year old named Sparky and a three week old named Pickle. I thought I knew how to properly care for them, and got a large cage at a pet store. As little Pickle started to grow I quickly realized it was far too small! So I ordered a C and C kit size 2x5 which I believe will be sufficient. Browsing posts here and looking up new info I realize I actually have a lot still to learn in order to best care for my boys, and I look forward to learning more from you folks here!
They're SO CUTE! Welcome to the forum, I'm glad you got the piggies a bigger cage, they love it and it's so hard to resist doing everything you can for them when they're so adorable!
I am new too and thought I knew a bit till I started reading here..been very interesting especially learning about new cage set ups.
Welcome and they are very cute piggies! I love pics of guinea pigs and their houses!!
Welcome to the (shedding) Aby club! I've been in love with Abys for many years.......so much so that I am known to threaten pig-napping if you have them. And, Syracuse is within driving distance, so........
Just teasing, of course. I have a full house with my two cavies and have been threatened with eviction if I bring home any more. Of course, there would be a custody battle if that ever happened.
I've never had Abys before them and boy they certainly do shed! Not great for my allergies but they sure are sweet hearts so I don't let it bother me too much
