Im new here!

im new to this site and have a few questions. but i dont even know how to post them in the forum so people will answer me so i guess we will find out if people can answer me through here.

so i have 2 guinea pigs, Blackie and Gilbert. they both have very unique persanalities. I got them from the humane scociety, and they said they were both boys, but im not quite sure. Blackie has this big buldge in the side of him closer to his hips than his stomach, and every time i look at him the big bump has moved to the other side. so im not sure if its a tumor, a baby, or hes just plain fat. so i need help on that.

i plan on making a C&C cage for my piggies, but i have no idea where to find all the things required to make the cage. (well i can find the zip ties but nothing else). its going to be a 2X5 with a loft (hopefully).

i also am short on cash and need to make homemade toys for my piggies and wondered if you guys had and ideas. my piggies are a little picky, they wont even look at there snugie, paperball, or felt forest. so i need some other ideas. Hopefully smallones so they will fit into my kinda big pet store guinea pig cage.

Welcome! I'll toss out some cheap piggy toy ideas. I save cardboard boxes for mine that I turn into A-frames, which they love to walk through or hide in. I also buy an inexpensive package of paper bags and turn them into tunnels or stuff them with hay. I also stuff hay into cardboard toilet paper rolls, and a simple hay pileis a huge hit with many piggies.

Welcome to the group. I'm relatively new here as well. Where are you located? I found a lot of my questions answered by entering in key words in the search function up on the right hand side of the page. They have info on where to buy supplies, how to sex your piggies and all kinds of ideas for toys on this site. You just have to dig a little. Sometimes the simplest things are the biggest hit. Anything that involves food a pig will love. Like mentioned before, paper bags filled with hay and toilet paper roles are great and are favorites among my pigs. Mine also like to snuggle with things and I have found that stuffing a clean sock with paper makes for a great piggy pillow that they can also toss around.
