It's very sad that someone would do this. Not to mention that apparently the little pig has some medical issues but it's another lesson in why pets should not be kept outside. Who's to say that it was taken by a person? A cat, dog or any animal that wanted in and at that guinea pig could have figured out how to undo the latch. I noticed that the mom mentioned that he needs hay in his hutch "because he's allergic to sawdust". Right there is two red flags. No sawdust for pigs AND they need hay ALL the time, not just because they are allergic to sawdust. Last edited by CavyMama; 10-04-09 at 02:40 pm. Reason: to add |

The hutch was taken too, and so it's certain that it was a human that did this - which is all the more reason not to worry so much about animal predators if there are humans present and you plan to leave your animals locked up outside. |
