You should read the policies and guidelines section of the site. That's where I found this: http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...es-titles.html That should answer your question. |

That doesn't explain what a probie is though. |

Indeed, sometimes a forum search can clear up all of the forum's little mysteries. |

This is at the bottom of the main forum page: Unconfirmed have email confirmations pending and can't post yet; Cavy Caged must have their posts approved by moderators & can't vote on posts; Cavy People have been excluded from posting in the Kitchen and Veg Forums and can't vote on posts; Newbies are new members: under 30 days or 10 posts (can't thank posts, create social groups, blogs or submit tips yet); Probies are like Newbies, only their posts are moderated because they registered with a generic email. All new members start out as Probies until proven that they are not a troll or spammer. Cavy Slaves are full members; Cavy Stars have donated $10 a year and have extra privileges; Cavy Champions donate $10 a month and have even more privileges! http://www.guineapigcages.com/forum/...tml#post218616 |

Is there a way (other than PayPal) that one could give donations? My boyfriend's tried explaining the whole concept and set up of PayPal and I still can't get it on my own. I suppose I can just have him set it up for me, but what if I never used PayPal again, other than to donate? As it is, I still have yet to ever make an online purchase with even my credit card, with the exception of an airline ticket. Was just curious, that's all. |

Paula M.Moore, for some reason I'm having trouble quoting sorry! But does that mean we are allowed to Thank? |

If the option is available to thank then I don't see why you wouldn't be allowed to thank. The thank option just wasn't enabled before for newbies, but now it is. |

It's not a matter of being allowed or not - if the option is available to you, you can use it if you choose. |

As people have said, Paypal is perfectly safe. I've used it for years without incident. |
