photo galleries down!

The photo galleries are not working! When I try to visit them it says "the photo galleries are temporarily down for maintenance" or something. When will they be back up again? I'm waiting to uplaoad a pic!

There may be a thread about this somewhere else, but I'm not able to locate it.

When trying to upload photos into my gallery, I keep getting an error message that it's not a valid jpeg file. It let me upload one. The others were too large so I resized them to meet the 1200 pixel limit. According to my computer, they ARE jpeg files. Can someone please help me? Thanks!

Why are the photo icons not by our names anymore? If we reply with a 'take a look at my gallery to see such and such' how can someone see a particular person's photos?
