Not sure why I got "wheeked".... I got a "wheek" today, and I'm not sure why. It said something about no pictures of pet-store cages, but I don't have a picture of a pet store cage. The only thing that comes close is a picture I had of Phil in the old cage, which was one we built from pieces of several pet-store cages, but wasn't itself a pet-store cage. The cage was about 3.5' square (over 9 square feet). It DID meet the 7.5 sq feet per pig rule. The picture is only of Phil being cute (playing "pig-a-boo!"), not of the cage. You can only see a small corner of the cage in the picture. We recently replaced the cage with a (still ev ving) C&C cage, since I felt the other one wasn't adequate for two boars when Oswald grows up. I don't get many cute pictures of Phil, because he's kind of camera-shy, and I was proud of this one. Here is the picture in question, so you can see what I mean. ![]() I know the rule of "no pet store cages", but this isn't a picture of a pet store cage. We took two large (but not large enough) cages apart and used the wire parts to build the walls, coroplast (from an old political sign) for the floor and short walls. It didn't have a wire floor, just the coroplast. Thanks for any insight you can provide.

Re: Not sure why I got "wheeked".... I am not trying to say back-seat-moderator, but I think it is that you can tell it was a pet store cage from the look of the corner. And even though it isn't a picture of the cage, it is a picture of the pig inside of what you can see is a pet store cage, though if it truly did meet the size requirements maybe next time you should state it in the information.

Re: Not sure why I got "wheeked".... I've talked about my "modified cage" in the forums, but I'm new-ish here (didn't really start posting until very recently, even though I joined a year ago), and I'm sure many have missed it. I don't want to sound like I'm griping about the rules. I'm not, at all. I appreciate that The GPC forum is, essentially, a private home in which we are simply allowed to gather. If you want to gather here, you need to play by the rules, and I am fine with that. I'm just seeking clarification, because I didn't see any rule that says "No pictures of anything we think might kinda-sorta look like it might be part of a pet-store cage, even in the background of a cute picture of a pig, regardless of what it really is or how big it really is". It just says "No pictures of pet-store cages." If the former is how the rule should really be interpreted, I am totally okay with that and will be more careful about the pictures I take in the future.

Re: Not sure why I got "wheeked".... It was removed because it looks like a petstore cage. All you can see is that one corner of the cage. If you take a photo of the entire cage it may look differently.

Re: Not sure why I got "wheeked".... Thanks. Like I said, I'm not at all whining about the rules, and I understand the no pet-store cages part. I just assumed that because it wasn't an actual picture of a pet-store cage, it would be cool. It's not really a big deal that it was removed, and I'll be more careful in the future. I can't wait to finish our C&C cage (we have the ground floor done, and the boys are happily in it, but I don't want to post pics til the rest is done as well) and get pics!
