Disappearing Photos

I keep on uploading a photo of my cardboard hidey-house but it keeps on disappearing! Is it because it asks for ideas and not cuddly stuff?

P.S. I posted it to show an example that you don't have to use a shoe box.

I am the one who has twice deleted it. I deleted it for 2 basic reasons

1. It was not a good photo as it was too much of a close up to be realy useful

2. It was redundant. We have too many other examples of cardboard houses in the galleries.

We try to keep the photos in the gallery as concise and useful as possible. That means that sometimes photos must be rejected. Sometimes someone puts up a photo of the "same old, same old" that is better then a long existing photo in the gallery though. In a case like that the new photo stays and an old one gets deleted.

It's nothing personal. By keeping the galleries neat and concise people can actually find the useful ideas they are looking for and not get so overloaded that they give up.

We do ask that if you find a photo you uploaded missing you not reload it. There is most likely a valid reason it was removed. If you think there was a mistake please feel free to ask.

I has uploaded some pictures of my GP's, I'm new and wanted to know if they had been deleted because they weren't of cages? And if so, are we allowed to upload pictures of just our GP's to share?

We do not allow just pictures of GPs in the galleries. The Galleries are reserved for useful photos of cages and accesories that meet our size requirements and safety guidelines.

Normally the below statement is at the top of the photo upload page but it seems to have gotten erased again with the recent updates. Here it is though so you can read the photo rules. It also has a site where you are welcome to upload pet GP photos. www.cavygallery.com

Cage or Cage-related Photos ONLY are allowed to be posted in these galleries. If you just want to post a photo of your guinea pig, you may upload a photo directly into a post on the forum, OR you can upload a guinea pig photo into this gallery: www.cavygallery.com and then reference it in a post on the forum or elsewhere. If your pig is IN your cage photo--great! But the photo should not be just about your pig.

Not another Cozy or Hidey House Photo! We are looking for EDUCATIONAL or INFORMATIONAL photos. Others browse the galleries looking for IDEAS and examples. We really don't need another cozy photo. Pictures of your appropriate cage or unique accessory or toy or other related photo are more than welcome.

No commercial or pet store cages! Under any circumstances. If you have some great purchased cage that meets our cage requirements, please post about it in the forums and get permission to post a photo of it first.

Proper size and SAFE! Your cage MUST provide a GROUND floor (or bottom level) space of at least 7.5 SQUARE FEET--REGARDLESS of upper levels provided. Your cage must be an INDOOR cage. Outdoor runs and play areas are acceptable, but not cages or hutches.
