Improper use of Photo Galleries

She emailed me the photo. I would have to see 1) a ruler held up to the grid to ensure that it's 14"x14", 2) a whole series of grids layed out in front of the cage (one grid doesn't tell me much) and 3) grids layed out against the end of the cage to see the width.

I have a petstore cage myself that's used as a travel cage or quarantine/hospital cage and the cage I was emailed a photo of looks no larger than the cage I have really. The superpet cage that I have is about 1x3 in terms of grids.

I like this site, but please tell me this behavior of arguing back and forth is not the usual. I would enjoy coming here and sharing stories but if the moderators and guests are going to engage in arguments in front of people it sets a bad environment. My son saw this today and he is 12. I let him on here because I thought it was a family type environment.

Debating back and forth does happen on this forum. We take animal welfare seriously and will stand up for the rights of animals to be well cared for.

This thread you dug up is almost a year old. Since then there have been few, if any, arguments about gallery pictures.

I wouldn't say we are necessarily a "family environment" but we do try to keep things G rated. We do expect our members to be able to participate in logical, adult debates when they pop up. Debates and even arguments happen in every family. They aren't restricted to just being online so I expect the younger people that come here aren't too shocked when they see one.

Good that's nice to know, I guess the key is logical and adult. You are correct, there is always conflict, it is how it is handled properly that I want my son to see. He is very excited to be here and looks forward to sharing his pix and getting advice.
