I have a question about this site

I'm a Newbie, as you can see. How do you become a Cavy Slave? Is it based on posts or how long you've been a member? Is it based on donations like Cavy Star and Cavy Champion? Also, how do you thank people, and do you have to be a Cavy Slave to thank? And one more thing (this is my last question,) how do you put a quote from someone else's post into your post a without quoting the whole thing?

You become a Cavy Slave after 10 posts and you have been a member for a month. To thank people there's a button called Thanks with a thumbs up next to it at the bottom of the post.

Yes, you have to be a member for a month and have ten posts, though I thought it may have been raised? You have to be a cavy slave to thank people, and the button will appear. To quote parts, you click the quote button and I just delete parts of the quote until I have the relevent part. There is a multi quote option too.

When I was lookiing through the rules and things I thought it said you had to have 50 posts or be a member for a month to be a Cavy Slave. But I could have misread.....

Also, this will be my 13th post, and I've been a member since Nov. 26, so in 4 days, I'll find out whether it's a month and 10 posts or a month and 50 posts. (Unless I get to 50 posts before then!)

No it is after 30 days and 10 posts. Not 50 posts.

What does Cavy Caged mean?

Members get caged for disobeying rules or being rude. They have reduced privledges, so all of their posts must first be approved by a mod prior to being displayed. The mods may decide to uncage them after a period if all their posts are acceptable.

At the bottom of the main forum index there are all the statuses and explanations.
