Thumbs up Yay! Zoomies for fleece!

I put the fleece in last night, and at first the boys weren't sure about it. They've had it under their hidey houses, but this was all over, man! However, this morning after their breakfast they are BOTH doing zoomies! Mama's doing zoomies, too, because now I don't have to pick up aspen shavings off the living room floor when they get excited!

I changed up a few other things at the same time. They are now up on a higher table so the dog can't look them in the eye and push her nose into the bars of their cage--should make them more comfortable. I finally got enough supplies to give them each their own water bottle, food dish, and hidey house. Now they have an entire cage distance between their individual spots when they want to be away from each other. I'm hoping this will keep them from having an adolescent turf war.

I put an invalid bed pad under the fleece in the kitchen, but it was a little short. Since I still have a whole big bag of carefresh, I put that under the fleece in one of the "bedrooms" since they like to pee in their hidey houses. Blech! Is it hard to get the carefresh off the fleece before washing?

It's kinda a pain... I used to have a fleece sleepy sack over care fresh and it used to get stuck pretty bad if I didnt change the carefresh underneath a couple times a day... But my pig is a grub and loves to sit in his own wet spot so he would pee and pee and pee in there... blechhhhhh

Hahaha! Why do they do that?!! My boys are about to get baths because I get a little grossed out snuggling them knowing how much they love laying in their own waste. The worst thing EVER is the nasty timothy hay hidey house. The poop gets smashed in and they pee inside it. I haven't even had it for 2 weeks and am thinking of tossing it.

Fleece is all my girls have ever known. Nevertheless, they still do their zoomies and popcorn when their cage is clean.

I love putting them back in after a cage cleaning: They walk around with the body language saying "Hmm....... I dunno about this, I think something is different" and stretch out their body with each step, like they are sneaking around.

My other boy is a clean freak! He goes and does his business in the corner of their kitchen.... His hidey spots are always impeccably clean! Pitty he can't train the other... :/

Ha! That's what my boys do when I let them out for floor time! You are right, it does look like "sneaking."

At least you have one! Both of mine are grubby little boys! And they swap houses, anyway, so I'd still be cleaning multiple spots. *sigh* But I love them to pieces anyway!

This makes me wish my new fleece was here already! My girls sadly will be on bedding for another month until I build my new cage.
