    Blizzard vs Anti Pill

I've been wanting to get Anti Pill fleece for a while now. I planned to get it last weekend(weekend of the 7th). My Progress Energy check didn't arrive like it was supposed to. After calling Progress Energy I ran into some issues with them. Contacted my lawyer and was able to get the full amount of my check(not half) and my check FINALLY came in a coupla days ago.

So looking into Joann's sales fly I noticed only Blizzard fleece was on sale. I've only got $100 to spend. And as long as my fleece isn't more than $9.99 per yard I can do just fine. I'm planning on getting 2 sets of 4 yards and 2 Uhual pads for Whistles cage(2x4 living space/2x1 kitchen). I may remove the wall between the kitchen/living space.

Anyhow, pros n cons of blizzard fleece? Any experiences? Which do you prefer? Why?
    Thanks!

Well, I haven't purchased neither Anti Pill or Blizzard. I would buy both and see which one you prefer.

I'd prefer to by both sets as the same kind. OCD thing.

I never bought or used the blizzard fleece but I use the anti-pill fleece and I like it. I don't have any problems with it. I also only had to wash it 2 times for liquid to be pulled through the fabric. Hope this helps a bit. But You could buy both and see which one you like the best.

It's nice to mix and match different colors and prints and I think the guinea pigs like the change of scenery. They react differently to different colors and pattern. Buy remnants and you'll get them for 50% off the sale price. If you need a piece to fit your whole cage and the remnants are smaller, you can sew them together. When I make my fleece pads I always use remnants and make the pads to a little more than half the cage and overlap two of them. They hop to one side while I clean the other side.

I use Blizzard fleece, its cheaper and washes good. Its just a little bit more fluffy I guess. Its looks exactly the same to me. I think the blizzard is a bit softer.

Thanks for the opinions and experiences everyone. I'm getting different patterns n such. But right now I can only get 2 different colors or patterns. Later on I'll get more colors and patterns.

Why not get one pattern anti pill and one blizzard so you can see which one you like better.

Because I don't like having 2 different types. OCD thing.

    Re: Blizzard vs Anti Pill

I've heard that anti-pill doesn't wick as well as blizzard does. I've only tried blizzard, which did great for me, but I've never had anti-pill so I can't guarantee that what I heard is true.

I think I've heard this as well. Anyone experience how blizzard fleece wicks?

    Re: Blizzard vs Anti Pill

You're asking a question that ultimately only YOU can answer.

You're really asking an "apples-and-oranges" kind of question. I don't know that I have ever noticed much of a difference between them. Why not buy two different types to see what you like? If your issue is mixing the fabrics, then don't do that. The easiest solution is to make both sides of the liner out of the same material. It's easier to sew and you can just flip the liner over midweek........voila......no mixing of fabrics.

If I had to try to discern the difference, I would say that the blizzard is a little more tightly woven which has both a negative and a positive: it takes a little more time to prepare the fleece correctly so that it wicks properly; but then it seems to hold up better with repeated use and washing.
