If you would like to post photos in a thread but they are quite large, you need to resize the pics so they don't distort the thread (this makes it so you don't have to scroll side to side to read the entire message.)
This tutorial is for PHOTOBUCKET photos only. If you use another photo hosting site, this will not work and you will have to determine how to resize them in another manner.
To resize, you should have 4 options above your picture
select edit and you will get these options above your photo:
Quote:
|
Full Size | resize | rotate | share | send to mobile | delete | buy prints |
|
Select resize and you will get these options:
Select Message Board: ( You can also set your account to automatically resize when you upload the pictures and then they will already be sized correctly, explained at the end of the message.) It will tell you you are about to resize this picture are you sure? Say yes. Now your picture is resized.
To paste the picture in your message select the last option:
Quote:
| IMG Code - Forums & Bulletin Boards
|
and your picture will appear! Just a note, all you have to do is click on the code once and it will tell you it is copied, then just come over and ctrl v to paste (on a pc).
To set your preferences to automatically resize when you upload:
Quote:
upload to: (YOUR ALBUM NAME HERE) max image size: 640 x 480 (options)
|
Where it says max image size click on the options link. It will take you to the following options:
Quote:
avatar ( 100 x 75 )
19" screen ( 1280 x 960 ) thumbnail ( 160 x 120 )
21" screen ( 1600 x 1200 )
website, email ( 320 x 240 )
22" screen ( 2048 x 1536 )
message board ( 640 x 480 ) 23" screen ( 2240 x 1680 )
15" screen ( 800 x 600 )
2 megabyte file
size 17" screen ( 1024 x 768 ) 1 megabyte file size |
Just activate the radio button next to message board and it will resize your pictures as you load them every time.
Hope this helps.
