Sorry if this is already addressed somewhere, I can't seem to find it. I saw where you explained how to show a name with a quote. But I noticed that most of the time when someone uses a quote to reply in a large thread the name isn't with the quote. I guess it's just a suggestion, but I have to go through everyones post again to see what someone was replying to sometimes. Is there a way to just make it standard, that when someone hits the quote button the name of the person the quote belongs to is there everytime? Just wondering. |

We have no specific rules on using the person name that you are quoting from. I am very guilty of not putting the username attached to the quote I am referring to. I've been doing that for a lonnnnngggggg time. I usually just copy/paste what I want to reply to and throw quote tags around it. It's quick and easy to do and then I don't have to wade through tons of quotes/multi-quotes deleting all the stuff I don't wish to address. I guess one thing that bothers me is people quoting things they don't need to quote and we do have rules regarding this. If there is one sentence in the whole paragraph or post you want to reply to, don't quote the whole post, just quote that one sentence. Quoting the whole posts takes a lot of space. |

What I usually do is hit the quote button to quote the whole post and then just select and delete out all of the irrelevant parts of the post that I don't want to quote. |
