Posting Pictures

I am making this post, so that I can reference it when someone asks, rather than retyping the info. again.

If you haven't seen it, please see VJ's post about pic rules before posting any pics on the website. Pet store cage and guinea pig pics are not allowed in the galleries! Here is her post:

The recommended and preferred way for you to post pictures on the forums, is by linking to your pictures on the internet.
You can sign up for a free image hosting account at Photo sharing site, free image and video hosting: Photobucket.com .
When you upload photos to photobucket, you simply copy the link for each picture and then:
Click on the picture button on a new post or reply:


This window will appear, paste or type your picture link into the box and then click OK.


Your picture is now added to your post, and will appear when you submit the post to the forum.

Attaching images to a post

You can attach pictures of your pigs to a post, but be aware that you only have a small allocated amount of space you are allowed to use to do this. Also, each JPG can not be larger than 97 kbs.

After you have clicked either "post a new thread", "post reply", or "go advanced" to make a post/reply:
Scroll down below the reply window and click where it says "manage attachments" :


In the new pop up window, click on browse, select your pic(s), and click on upload. Once you are done, close the window, type your reply, and submit. Your attached pics will appear on your thread as clickable thumbnails.

The photo Gallery

To post your adequate sized cage pics, accessories, etc to the galleries:

On the top of the forums page click on "photo galleries" and then "upload photos".



Select the appropriate gallery for the pic you are uploading, select your picture, add a title and description, and submit.
