Other forums I have been to have a spam/announcements board. I know it would be almost like a chat, but nobody ever uses the chat.

I am almost close to 100 posts, and when I get there I want to announce it to the forum.

Your post number would not go up.

So that people can make random announcements like "I've reached 10 posts". You can also spam all you want.

Why would we create a section for spam? That is wasting space here at the forum that T pays for. I really don't think anyone cares how many posts someone has (unless it's an extremely high number) and if they did it would be listed on their profile.

This thread is a waste of space. We do have a global announcements system and only T gets to put the announcements up, but no single announcements thread or forum and we aren't going to have one either. So you have a hundred posts, big deal. When you get up into the thousands (say about 5000) then you can make a thread about it. We ask that people don't make posts just to post. We like quality over quantity here. I have noticed that many of your posts aren't of quality but more just to get your post count up there or of not much value to the community. If you have honest questions that's fine.

The owner of this site (CavySpirit or as we call her, T- short for Teresa) has to pay for this site. The vast majority of the money comes out of her pocket. A small amount comes from Cavy Champions and Cavy Stars who subscribe to the forum to get more forum privileges. Another small amount comes from the google ads.

I'm really sorry but we aren't like other forums in many ways. We like our forum the way it is and members don't get to dictate to the staff on what we should or shouldn't have.
