I went to order some Zorb fabric from Wazoodle today and they are completely sold out! lol Does anyone know of any other places that sell Zorb fabric (by the yard) ??

I am super excited!! I am going with my grandmother to the fabric store on saturday to get supplys. I am not 100% sure what I am getting or what I am doing but I will work it out in the long run and update. My idea right now is to get my fleece(that was a no brainer). Then I want to get some kind of batting or matress pad material. I am going to ask the worker at the fabric shop what is the most obsorbant material for the inside of my beadspeard. I am expecting weird looks. lol Then for the bottom I want to find that material they use for the bottom of footsy jammie. I think that would hold in any additional moistor and be washable. I am hoping I will be able to wash the fleece. sew them all together and have a nice little pillow/bedspread that i can just stick in the cage. That would be awesome! If anyone knows what that footsy jammie material is please let me know. Thank you.

I have a question, because I came across a few remarks reading old posts but I couldn't find any explanation or reasoning. I would like to know why we are not allowed to link to the website of the lady that makes "those" piggy bedspreads, but we are allowed to link to other websites selling similiar products? Thanks in advance for providing an explanation regarding this matter.

Side note: I'm not purchasing from that website, I am making my stuff here at home based on information I found on the guinea pig forum here.

Hi there.

after reading all the messages on here about fleece i decided to give it a go.

i brought some fleece and washed it about 3-4 times first. (no softner) ive got 2 female guineas and they seem to really like it and were pop corning when i put them in the cage with it.

on of my guineas is a long haired guinea and the saw dust i was using first just kept sticking to her so thats why i decided to change the fleece.

but my problem now is it stinks! i have to change it everyday i dont mind doing it but my main concern is that my long haired guinea now stinks! her bum always smells of urine yet the fleece is wicking through as its not wet. i thinks its more the towels underneath that smell! i really dont want to go back to using saw dust as the guineas seem to really like the fleece but i dont want her to smell so bad! i gave her a bath a while ago and within about a day she started smelling again! i read its not to good to wash them all the time so i brought some grooming wipes and they dont help either! my short haired guinea dont really smell.

Ok I havent got a sowing machine and im not very good at making things so Ive been looking for a website that sells those Piggy Bedspreads in the uk that pull over the sides of the coroplast?

I had always been kind of skeptical about using Care Fresh bedding, but I bought a huge bag of it the other day, and I used it in Smudge's cage. I was a bit unhappy with it at first, considering how stiff it seemed, and the crunchy sound it made when Smudge stepped on it. I gave it a day, and I was amazed. Usually Smudge's cage starts to sort of smell after a day or two. His cage actually smelled clean!! I was very pleased.
So I am trying to say, if you aren't sure about Care Fresh, try it. FIVE STARS!

Well I don't know about you other fleece users but I am a bit addicted to looking for new lovely designs for my guinea pigs' cages. I'm a bit of a Dr Who fan and found this awesome fleece throw on ebay:



I've just bought it so will hopefully get it in the next week or so. All of my current fleece is pink, pink with fairies, pink with lovehearts and pink with flowers, so I thought this would be nice for Wesley to have a more 'manly' look for his cage.

Anyone else want to share your pretty fleece patterns?
