Just picky eaters?

I buy decent quality hay for my 4 guineas (2 males, 2 females) -- usually Oxbow Timothy Hay or Orchard Grass, with Oat Hay now and again.

Over the last month or so, its seems to me that they are all leaving more of the 'harder to chew' , or less 'juicy' bits behind. I find I'm tossing out a good amount of good hay (because its been in their cage for days).

One day I didn't add more hay, and by the next day most of the hay in their cage had been eaten. Are these guineas just spoilt?
