So when i only had the pet store cage and used carefresh i put little bunches of timothy hay in each corner of his cage. when i got the c&c cage i used a cut shoe box and then later a tissue box to hold they hay so it wouldn't get all over the fleece. well then he wouldn't eat it much just pick at it a little. i then thought it might be the hay quality and wanted to try orchard hay (since i saw someone say they had less allergic reactions to orchard than timothy... didn't work for me. in fact i might be sneezing more with this hay but its softer and higher quality than the timothy i had been getting) then he dumped his tissue box and i had an idea, so when he was out for floor time i put little bundles around, he was very happy and munched it.

AHA! he doesn't like his hay in a container. I figured it out.

so in his cage he now has little piles and he loves it.
