How much pellets to feed?
I've been feeding my 2 pigs 1/8 cups each a day (1/4 cup total). I've been doing 1/8 in the morning and then another 1/8 around lunch-dinner time. My problem is that they eat it very fast and then have nothing later (as in pellets.) They have unlimited hay all the time as well as 1+ cup of veggies a day. But no matter what else they have, they always want more pellets! Can I give them a larger amount with it still being a healthy amount? I don't want them to be hungry all the time!

Each pig needs 1/8 of a cup each day no more no less. I wouldn't give them anymore than that.
It is good that they like pellets, also. As long as they are eating normally then they should be fine, I haven't heard of a Pig eating to fast.

The rescue I am adopting from told me that piggies do not need pellets if they have unlimited hay and veggies. Have you heard this?

Re: How much pellets to feed?
1/8 of a cup is all i give my boys plus veg and ample hay. However the pellets help to balance out their over all diet and provide them with a complex mix of vitamins that aren't always available in all other sources and along with the hay help keep their teeth trim and in check.

Re: How much pellets to feed?
How much pellets should you be feeding a pregnant pig? I have two pregnant piggies and I've been giving them each 1/8 'oxbow young guinea pig pellets' a day (1/4 total). I just realized that on the bag it says to give pregnant pigs unlimited pellets (as well as young or growing pigs). I haven't heard of feeding unlimited pellets during pregnancy on here before so I wanted to check and make sure.
Also, once the babies come, how much extra food should I be giving for each baby?
(Wasn't sure if I should make a new thread for this so I added to my old one! Feel free to bump!)

Yes, you can feed pregnant and recently-delivered pigs unlimited pellets. But they should also be getting plenty of veggies. I'd probably give them about 1/4 cup each per day in the morning, and push the vegetables to encourage them to eat those. If they've eaten all the pellets and all the veggies by the time you're ready to go to bed, you could add a few more pellets.
