    Can they eat lemon basil?

I've searched through the threads on nutrition including herbs but saw nothing about lemon basil. I have quite a bit growing and was wondering if I could give them some.
    TIA

Re: Can they eat lemon basil?

I did some quick research on lemon basil and it's actually just two kinds of basil plant (regular basil and African basil) hybrid into one. That being the case, I would think that it'll be fine for them. Not a whole bunch, just as a treat. I would feed it the same way that I would regular basil. Hope this helps.

Edit: Basil does contain known carcinogens, so don't feed too much! Small doses have been known help with bug problems in rodents, but large doses can be dangerous. I would follow the guidelines carefully or not feed it at all. Good luck!
