Yes Switching Hay

Pretty soon I'm going to be switching to Kleenmama's hay. I just want to know if I'm switching do I have to slowly mix in the new hay, or can they switch over cold turkey?

Re: Switching Hay

I'd mix it at first, especially if you notice a big difference between the new and old hay. That way they can slowly get accustomed to it.

Re: Switching Hay

It does matter when switching pellets, but it really doesn't matter with hay. As long as they will eat the hay, that's all that matters.

Re: Switching Hay

I switch my hay all the time, I don't mix it. I always mix the pellets.
