Gerty Guinea Pig Food vs Healthy Select Guinea Pig Diet
I currently only have "Gerty Guinea Pig Food" and "Healthy Select Guinea Pig Diet" available. I was just wondering which one is better for them? Also, what is the best brand of food to feed guinea pigs with? Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Neither is really a good choice, to be honest with you. As foods go, they really are equally bad and I wouldn't recommend feeding either.
The best foods are Kleenmama's (which is by FAR the best of the best) followed by Sweet Meadow and Oxbow. KMs and Sweet Meadow need to be ordered online, so if that's not an option for you, Oxbow is sold locally in some pet stores. You can use the store locator on their site to find one nearby.

Would Gerty Guinea Pig Food be okay for a young guinea pig about 8-10 months old?

Really, no. It's not good food for pigs of any age. You need to find a good quality pellet such as the ones listed above to feed your piggies, no matter the age.

So I just got my Oxbow brand guinea pig food and I was wondering if you have any tips on the transition from one food to another? Should I just follow the instructions on the back of the bag?

You don't have to mix the two, just cold turkey it, trash the old pellets, and start feeding them oxbow. Cavy performance (alfalfa based pellets) is for pigs under six months, and cavy cuisine (timothy based pellets) is for pigs over six months.
