    Question Vitamin C supplements...

I am considering adding a vitamin C supplement (probably Oxbow's) to my pigs' diet. If I did add a supplement, would I still need to feed the same amount of vegetables? I know veggies are not only a source of vitamin C but also other vitamins and necessary nutrients, but I'm wondering if a supplement affects veggie amounts.

For those who do feed supplemental vitamin C, how do you feed it and what has your experience been with it?

Which brand of vitamin C supplements is best?

How much vitamin C per day would two pigs need?

Thank you for any and all answers!

No need for a viyamin C supplement unless you have an ill cavy.

Or one that won't eat veggies or will only eat a couple veggies.

Sd, in your case, your pigs eat their veggies so there is no need for a C supplement. If you are thinking you can give it and cut down on veggies, well that's not a good idea as the veggies are important as cavies need them for all their vitamins/minerals and they are constant foragers.
