Good vegetables high in vitamin c
hello,
I am just wondering what vegetables are high in vitamin C and what vegetables i should not feed. Also, can i feed them fruits, if so, what fruits can i give them?

Check out the diet and nutrition section of the boards. There is a sticky there with a very good chart on veggies and fruits for guinea pigs. Also there are some sample weekly diets there.
You want to stay away from veggies that are high in Vit A and oxalic acid they can cause kidney stones. Fruits have alot of sugars in them so should limit the amount of fruits you give.
I give my 2 pigs about 1/3 to 1/4 a green pepper a day (1/8 per pig) for vit C then give various green leafy lettuces (not iceberg). My pigs are very picky pigs, still trying to get them to eat other veggies. They love romaine when it is leafy but wont eat romaine hearts...silly pigs!
