Question Is it ok to feed saltine crackers?

I had was eating some saltine crackers while watching my piggy, George, run around on the floor. They were salty, and I thought, Why not. So I fed him a bit and he LOVES them.

I was going to give him more as an occasional treat, but then I wondered whether it was ok to do so or not.

He's gaining back weight right now (he lost a lot due to a bad tooth problem that hindered him from eating) so I thought it might be good for fattening him up again.

So. Saltine crackers. Good or bad for guinea pigs?

    Thanks for your help!

No crackers ever for guinea pigs. They aren't healthy for them and the pigs don't need the extra salt. No processed human foods should ever be fed. They need fresh veggies and occasional fruits only.
