Okay, I can't get any grass hay where I live, I've rang all the stores & all the horsey places in the area to try to find a nice big bale of hay but no luck. I live in Australia. Anyhow in Big W, I have found a bag of hay called 'PETERS PASTURE HAY - Pet Bedding & Food'... and it is endorsed by the RSPCA. My question is does anyone else buy & use this type of hay, I have seen photos on here of other people's hay racks & the hay looks lovely and green, this hay I have looks very dead & brown & much like straw, there's hardly any green colour to it at all. Is this acceptable? Our piggies seem to like it & eat heaps of it but maybe that's because they don't have a choice. |
