Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0
I found a place that would make the pellets for my guinea pigs if I give them the ingredients that I want in it. I want to know would this be a good idea? I am currently feeding the Mazuri brand but would like to know if having the pellets made with the ingredients that I provide would be better? I know that if I do provide ingredients, I only want to provide as least as possible and only what the guinea pigs would need in a pellet no added junk. Any ideas of what I should include or have included in the ingredients? I know I want it to be Timothy hay based. |

Formulating pellets is no easy task. It would be better to stick with what you have or upgrade to Oxbow or preferably KM's. |

The Mazuri brand is easier and less costly for me to get. I was told that if I gave the ingredients of what I wanted in the pellets for my guinea pigs they could make the pellets for me. The person that would be making them for me runs and owns a feed lot and they make many pellets and other feeds for poeple all the time. That is why I was even considering it. |
