Hurray !! Here is what I did. I did not feed apples or carrots for a whole week. Then I gave peppers in the morning before anything else, lettuce, pellets, etc. They ignored the peppers for the most part. Then yesterday I washed and dried a nice piece of red pepper and put it in a wad of very fragrant meadow grass and squished it in a ball. They ate the pepper! Last evening they ate plain pepper and this morning happily munched both red and green peppers, even leaving the lettuce until the pepper was gone ! OK, they won't eat cilantro either.... but are there any "must haves" besides the pepper (they eat many varieties of lettuce). I will offer other veggies of course, but I am thrilled to have them eating the peppers ! |

That's great! Thankfully my boys, nicknamed 'hungy and hungier', will eat anything you throw at them! You must have been very patient!!! |

That is awesome! My pig still wont touch them, so I might just have to try what you did. The thing is I was babysitting my 2 1/2 year old cousin and she decided to give Hippie a pretzel (one of those long thick ones) and he started eating it immediately! He actually acted mad when I took it away, ha ha. It's kind of amusing though, since I have been trying for months to get him to eat pepper. |
