would this be okay?

Well I just thought of a home made treat Idea it would be

carrot shredded

black rasberry juice ( from our black rasberry bush)

shredded lettuce ( romaine and green leaf)

Some how I would need to hold this all together any ideas?

By the way it would be grated with a cheese grater.

No they should not have flour. Just feed vegetables and small amounts of fruit as treats.

Re: would this be okay?

Guinea pigs don't really need treats like this. They would like fresh fruits much better. I give mine grapes and watermellon as treats. Guinea pigs also can't have baked goods so that means no flour.

Re: would this be okay?

Something that could be fun to give as a treat is a veggie wrap. Take a leaf of lettuce and inside it put a tiny bit of shredded carrot (2-4 pieces, a raspberry cut up, a strip or two of bell pepper and any other veggie you want. Roll it up and tie it with something edible such as a strip of corn husk.

Re: would this be okay?

Cowcorn is the name (used around here) for corn that is not typically fed to humans.

It is either turned into feed for cows ("cow corn") or turned into corn syrup - or the dreaded "high fructose corn syrup".

Re: would this be okay?

You don't need corn. You don't even have to tie it up, that was just a suggestion. You could take a few long strands of hay and braid them together and tie it up if you really want it tied.

I may try this with green pepper inside a piece of lettuce. I just put a small slice of pepper into an apple chunk and one pig ate it. The other discovered it and left the pepper untouched. I have withheld apple, carrot, etc. for days and still the pepper is rejected. Do you suppose if the pig is tricked into eating the pepper it will become more agreeable to eating it plain in the future?

It's very possible. It would also be better to do this than to use apple or other fruits.

Re: would this be okay?

I tried the veggie wrap a few times and the pigs loved them. They tore into them and had veggie stains down the lips. Fitzroy was green down his whole chest.

Lately I've been thinking about doing piggie bento boxes (don't laugh).
Like on this site: Epicute.

Only with the veggies (and maybe a piece of fruit occasionally) that they can eat. I don't know why I want to do this. I don't think they would care much, but it is just another fun thing to do for my pigs!

I've seen people make veggie b-day cakes for their pigs before, so I know I'm not that weird.
