I was looking aorund on the internet when I stumbled across this. http://www.guinealynx.info/stones_diet.html Is this a good diet to feed stones pigs? Thanks |

It's certainly not a bad diet, but if you have a stone pig you might want to run the diet by your veterinarian and follow any advice s/he might have to offer, especially if your vet is very experienced with guinea pigs, particularly with stone pigs. This diet stresses the importance of a "balanced" Ca:P ratio, but I believe the ideology on the importance of a balanced ratio is changing and is not necessarily thought to be as important as lowering the calcium intake overall in stone pigs. |
